D'Lorah Anderson, Esq., Principal Attorney & Founder - Licensed in Florida

Attorney D'Lorah Anderson is passionate about helping entrepreneurs, businesses, nonprofit organizations, churches, and mission-driven leaders build strong legal foundations that position them for long-term success. As the Founder and Managing Attorney of The Business & Nonprofit Legal Center, she provides strategic legal counsel that helps clients build, protect, and grow what matters most.

Attorney Anderson advises clients through every stage of an organization's life cycle—from formation and governance to growth, compliance, intellectual property protection, and long-term strategic planning. Whether launching a new venture, strengthening an established organization, or navigating complex legal challenges, she is committed to providing practical legal solutions tailored to each client's unique goals.

What distinguishes Attorney Anderson is the perspective she brings to every client relationship. She doesn't simply advise entrepreneurs and nonprofit leaders—she is one. In addition to practicing law, she is an entrepreneur, nonprofit founder, board leader, and organizational executive who understands firsthand the opportunities and challenges of building and leading an organization. Her experience extends beyond the practice of law to business ownership, nonprofit leadership, human resources administration, and executive leadership within the private sector, public education, and higher education.

Alongside her husband, Corey, Attorney Anderson owns and operates a  wellness business, providing her with firsthand experience navigating the legal, operational, and strategic realities of entrepreneurship. This real-world perspective enables her to offer legal counsel that is not only legally sound, but also practical, strategic, and informed by the everyday decisions business owners face.

Attorney Anderson's passion for service has taken her on ministry and humanitarian work throughout Africa, Asia, Europe, and North America. Those experiences inspired her to found Suddenly Joyful Global Missions, Inc., a U.S.-based nonprofit organization.  As the founder and president of an active nonprofit organization, she understands the unique legal, governance, leadership, fundraising, and compliance challenges nonprofit organizations face because she has experienced them herself.

Recognizing that many entrepreneurs and nonprofit founders need more than legal documents—they need a trusted guide—Attorney Anderson developed The Startup Legal Coach™, a signature startup service designed to help business and nonprofit founders move confidently from vision to launch. Through this framework, she helps clients establish strong legal foundations that support sustainable growth and long-term success.

Attorney Anderson earned her Juris Doctor from Florida State University College of Law, a Master of Arts in Practical Theology from Regent University, and a Bachelor of Science in Human & Organizational Developmentfrom Vanderbilt University.

She has served as an officer or member of numerous professional and community organizations, including the Halifax Health Hospice Advisory Board, The Joseph Hatchett Bar Association, African-American Entrepreneurs Association, The Vince Carter Embassy of Hope Foundation, The Harold V. Lucas, Jr. Foundation, and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.

Attorney Anderson is also the author of G.R.A.C.E.: God's Refuge Against Crushing Experiences and a sought-after speaker on entrepreneurship, nonprofit leadership, governance, organizational development, and faith.

Whether advising a startup entrepreneur, counseling an established business, guiding a nonprofit board, or helping a ministry strengthen its governance, Attorney Anderson is committed to helping leaders build strong organizations, protect what they have worked hard to create, and position themselves for lasting success and meaningful impact.
